Air shower are essential passageways for personnel entering and exiting cleanrooms. They utilize high-speed, clean airflow to remove adhering dust and also function as airlocks. The performance of KLC Air shower directly impacts the level of contamination control in cleanrooms; therefore, the following core configurations should be given special attention when purchasing one.
304 stainless steel or cold-rolled steel plate with painted finish ?
KLC offers two main material options. KLC 304 stainless steel Air shower are corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and easy to clean, suitable for environments requiring frequent disinfection or high humidity, such as biopharmaceutical and food production. KLC cold-rolled steel Air shower (outer cold-rolled steel, inner stainless steel) feature an exterior made of cold-rolled steel sheet treated with pickling, phosphating, and electrostatic powder coating, while the internal contact surfaces are stainless steel. They are moderately priced, aesthetically pleasing, and suitable for dry environments such as electronics factories and packaging workshops.

Air shower method: single air, double air, or triple air?
The air shower method determines the dust removal effect. The KLC single-blowing air shower has only nozzles on one side and is suitable for changing rooms with low requirements; the KLC double-blowing air shower has symmetrical nozzles on both sides and is the mainstream choice with wide coverage; the KLC triple-blowing air shower has nozzles on both sides and the top and is suitable for high-level clean rooms, with more thorough dust removal.
▲Details of KLC air shower nozzles
When selecting a KLC air shower, it is essential to ensure that the nozzle outlet air velocity is ≥20m/s (below 18m/s, dust removal effect is poor), and the air shower time is set to 15-30 seconds. KLC recommends prioritizing intelligent air shower systems equipped with HEPA filters, voice navigation, and infrared sensors to improve the standardization of cleanroom management.
